- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun. - The one who gets wisdom loves life;
the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
- For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
- Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

the Lord is the one who sustains me. - For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

and bring you peace and prosperity. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
- “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.
- This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
- For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
- Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways. - Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands. - Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
- Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
- You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
