- Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
Whoever is discerning, let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
And the righteous will walk in them,
But wrongdoers will stumble in them. - Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - The Lord is good and upright;
Therefore He instructs sinners in the way.
He leads the humble in justice,
And He teaches the humble His way. - I have instructed you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in upright paths. - We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
- Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he grows older he will not abandon it. - Because by the works of the Law none of mankind will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes knowledge of sin.
- For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
- Blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the Law of the Lord. - The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver,
The heart of the wicked is worth little. - But He knows the way I take;
When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold.
My foot has held on to His path;
I have kept His way and not turned aside. - Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Behold, as for the impudent one,
His soul is not right within him;
But the righteous one will live by his faith. - The hope of the righteous is gladness,
But the expectation of the wicked perishes. - The Rock! His work is perfect,
For all His ways are just;
A God of faithfulness and without injustice,
Righteous and just is He. - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
- And do not go on presenting the parts of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your body’s parts as instruments of righteousness for God.
- Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
- The mentioning of the righteous is a blessing,
But the name of the wicked will rot. - Guarding the paths of justice,
And He watches over the way of His godly ones. - “For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live!”
- If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.
- Let your eyes look directly ahead
And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. - Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath,
But righteousness rescues from death. - All things are permitted, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted, but not all things build people up.
