- There is a way which seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death. - The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. - Better is a little that the righteous has,
than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked shall be broken,
but Yahweh upholds the righteous. - For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the labor of love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.
- I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh!
My soul will be joyful in my God,
for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation.
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
- But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- Don’t envy the man of violence.
Choose none of his ways.
For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh,
but his friendship is with the upright. - Thus has Yahweh of Armies spoken, saying, ‘Execute true judgment, and show kindness and compassion every man to his brother. Don’t oppress the widow, the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.’
- “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are expedient. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
- You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
- Yahweh is righteous in all his ways,
and gracious in all his works. - Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
- Hear my prayer, Yahweh.

In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me. - Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless.
Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. - But he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
- Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. - Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
- He lays up sound wisdom for the upright.
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity. - Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to Yahweh’s law. - I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!
- We, being Jews by nature and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
- The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver.
The heart of the wicked is of little worth.
