- With my soul I have desired you in the night.
Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly;
for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness. - Wake up righteously and don’t sin, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- Good and upright is Yahweh,
therefore he will instruct sinners in the way.
He will guide the humble in justice.
He will teach the humble his way. - Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
- But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out and leap like calves of the stall.
- It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yahweh our God, as he has commanded us.
- Peter opened his mouth and said, “Truly I perceive that God doesn’t show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.”
- The memory of the righteous is blessed,
but the name of the wicked will rot. - I have taught you in the way of wisdom.
I have led you in straight paths. - But he knows the way that I take.
When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps.
I have kept his way, and not turned away. - Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it. - Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you.
Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul. - Who is wise, that he may understand these things?
Who is prudent, that he may know them?
For the ways of Yahweh are right,
and the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them. - The Rock: his work is perfect,
for all his ways are just.
A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he. - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase.
- “For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord Yahweh. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!”
- The prospect of the righteous is joy,
but the hope of the wicked will perish. - Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.
- Also, do not present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
- For you will bless the righteous.
Yahweh, you will surround him with favor as with a shield. - Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
- Let your eyes look straight ahead.
Fix your gaze directly before you. - That he may guard the paths of justice,
and preserve the way of his saints. - I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
- You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
