- For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
- For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
- Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

- For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
- The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate. - Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

- For I know that my redeemer liveth,
and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. - For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
- The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
- Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts,
cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. - He only is my rock and my salvation;
he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
- And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
- My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me.
