- Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of thy name:
and deliver us, and purge away our sins,
for thy name's sake. - Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies,
and from them that persecute me. - Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
- This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles. - But I will sacrifice unto thee
with the voice of thanksgiving;
I will pay that that I have vowed.
Salvation is of the Lord. - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. - There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
- Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
- And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?Next verse! With image
