For my salvation comes from the Lord alone. - For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
- So you see, the Lord knows how to rescue godly people from their trials, even while keeping the wicked under punishment until the day of final judgment.
- Please, Lord, please save us.

In your unfailing love, rescue me. - Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
