- You call Me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’; and you are correct, for so I am.
- The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
- Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
But desire fulfilled is a tree of life. - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.

- No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
- And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
- Rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer.
- Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
- Keep your tongue from evil
And your lips from speaking deceit. - Blessed is a person who finds wisdom,
And one who obtains understanding. - And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
- And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
- The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth,
But the poor hears no rebuke. - Greater love has no one than this, that a person will lay down his life for his friends.
- Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the Law.
- Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife,
But wisdom is with those who receive counsel. - Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today for your good?
- By this all people will know that you are My disciples: if you have love for one another.
- One who walks with wise people will be wise,
But a companion of fools will suffer harm. - Wealth obtained from nothing dwindles,
But one who gathers by labor increases it. - By this we know that we remain in Him and He in us, because He has given to us of His Spirit.
- I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - And whatever you ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. - One who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets,
But one who is trustworthy conceals a matter. - One who guards his mouth protects his life;
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
- So that we confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?” - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
- But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.
- How much more valuable then is a person than a sheep! So then, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall serve as a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.
- For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’ - The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride, arrogance, the evil way,
And the perverted mouth, I hate. - But now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for the one who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.
- One who conceals his wrongdoings will not prosper,
But one who confesses and abandons them will find compassion. - I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
- And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.
- For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing.
- As they had their pasture, they became satisfied,
And as they became satisfied, their heart became proud;
Therefore they forgot Me. - Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.
