Bible Verses about '12:13'
- You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.
- Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. - For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
- And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
- Because I rescued the poor who cried for help,
and the fatherless who had none to assist them.
The one who was dying blessed me;
I made the widow’s heart sing. - I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
- But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
- For, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
- Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?
- I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.
- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
- Keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from telling lies. - Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding. - You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
- Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. - Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
- Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice. - And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
- A person’s riches may ransom their life,
but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. - So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.
- Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm. - A gossip betrays a confidence,
but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. - This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.
- And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. - Dishonest money dwindles away,
but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. - Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
- Those who guard their lips preserve their lives,
but those who speak rashly will come to ruin. - So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?” - May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- How much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
- For I am the Lord your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you. - To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech. - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
- And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.
- Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
- A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
- When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me. - Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,
but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. - This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.
- Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
- Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
