7now (3/4)

  • On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
  • All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.
  • And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the Lord your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. And you must always obey the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good.
  • We have happy memories of the godly,
but the name of a wicked person rots away.
  • As I learn your righteous regulations,
I will thank you by living as I should!
  • Eloquent words are not fitting for a fool;
even less are lies fitting for a ruler.
  • Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
  • Seek the Lord while you can find him.
Call on him now while he is near.
  • And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.
  • Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
  • Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
  • Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
  • Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
  • Don’t long for “the good old days.”
    This is not wise.
  • So go ahead. Eat your food with joy, and drink your wine with a happy heart, for God approves of this!
  • “All right then,” Joshua said, “destroy the idols among you, and turn your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.”
  • I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’
  • This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But before the marriage took place, while she was still a virgin, she became pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Now this is what the Lord says to the family of Israel:
“Come back to me and live!”
  • The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him.
  • Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.
  • My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
  • For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
  • He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest.
He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.
  • Indeed, the Sovereign Lord never does anything
until he reveals his plans to his servants the prophets.

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”Next verse! With image
