- The end of all things is near. Therefore, lead disciplined lives and be watchful in prayer.
- And so now, O Israel, what does the Lord, your God, require of you but to fear the Lord, your God, to walk in all of his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord, your God, with all your heart and all your soul, and to observe the commandments and the statutes that I am giving you today for your own good.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul;
my entire being, bless his holy name. - Yet, O Lord, you are our Father;
we are the clay and you are our potter;
all of us are the work of your hands. - Finally, all of you should be united in spirit, sympathetic, filled with love for one another, compassionate, and humble.
- With all humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in a spirit of love.
- However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all
that I have said to you. - But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy for all the people.”
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- As long as I remained silent,
my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day. - Therefore, now I, Nebuchadnezzar,
praise and exalt and glorify
the King of heaven.
For all of his works are right,
and all of his ways are just.
Also, he is able to humble
all those who follow the path of pride. - The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it,
the world and all who live in it. - For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
- The depths of the sea resound
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and your breakers
sweep over me. - And the good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the entire world as a testimony offered to all the nations. And then the end will come.
- Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - As much as possible, and to the extent of your ability, live in peace with everyone.
- However, if we confess our sins,
he who is faithful and just
will forgive our sins
and cleanse us from all wrongdoing. - Above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth, or use any oaths at all. Let your “Yes” mean “Yes” and your “No” mean “No.” Otherwise you may be condemned.
- To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.
- The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
- Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and utter all kinds of calumnies against you for my sake.
- Ensure that the path you tread is level,
and then your ways will be sure.
