Bible Verses about 'Anything'

  • Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?
  • And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
  • Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
  • “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.
  • Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
  • For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.
  • And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
  • How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house.
  • You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's.
  • In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.
  • You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
  • For we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
  • Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
  • Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
  • Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
  • For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
  • “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up.
  • But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
  • You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.
  • But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
  • Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
  • You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
  • And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.
  • Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.

Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”
