- Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
- Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
- Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”
- For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.” - There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call.
- For a thousand years in your sight
are but as yesterday when it is past,
or as a watch in the night. - Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
- But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.
- For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
you cover him with favor as with a shield. - For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- But as for you, teach what accords with sound doctrine.
- For you, O God, have tested us;
you have tried us as silver is tried. - I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
- Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
- But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.
- For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
- And he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
- A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
- Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that you may live;
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you,
as you have said. - Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah
