Chinese (traditional)- Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
- And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.
- There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
- So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me. - Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
- Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.
- Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
- The Lord protects the foreigners among us.
He cares for the orphans and widows,
but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. - Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. - I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.
- Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.
- I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
- As the deer longs for streams of water,
so I long for you, O God. - But for us,
There is one God, the Father,
by whom all things were created,
and for whom we live.
And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things were created,
and through whom we live. - All who fear the Lord will hate evil.
Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance,
corruption and perverse speech. - The Lord merely spoke,
and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
and all the stars were born. - We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
- Therefore, tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: No more delay! I will now do everything I have threatened. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
- But I will send you the Advocate—the Spirit of truth. He will come to you from the Father and will testify all about me.
- And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
- My child, pay attention to what I say.
Listen carefully to my words.
Don’t lose sight of them.
Let them penetrate deep into your heart. - You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
- The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.
But when you had eaten and were satisfied,
you became proud and forgot me.Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.Next verse! With image
