- You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
- Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
- “For the mountains may depart
and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you. - Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near. - Ponder the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure. - And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
- The hand of the diligent will rule,
while the slothful will be put to forced labor. - My son, if your heart is wise,
my heart too will be glad. - I will be glad and exult in you;
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. - He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. - Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
- Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you. - Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
- He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.
- And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
- Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist. - Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.
- What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you. - Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied. - In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - I establish my covenant with you, that never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood, and never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
