- The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up. - A wise son maketh a glad father:
but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother. - A man's pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. - How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men. - The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it. - A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- In all labour there is profit:
but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. - The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. - God setteth the solitary in families:
he bringeth out those which are bound with chains:
but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - The Lord preserveth the strangers;
he relieveth the fatherless and widow:
but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. - The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
- The liberal soul shall be made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. - Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
- Treasures of wickedness profit nothing:
but righteousness delivereth from death. - He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
- A talebearer revealeth secrets:
but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. - Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:
fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
- Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.
- To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:
but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.Next verse!With image
