Chinese (traditional)- In peace I will both lie down and sleep;
for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
- For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
- Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
- A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. - The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him,
we will also live with him. - So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.
- Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
- No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light.
- Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?
- You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
- Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
- For in much wisdom is much vexation,
and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow. - Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
- By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
- And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- House and wealth are inherited from fathers,
but a prudent wife is from the Lord. - Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable. - Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
- He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
- The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. - Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
- For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
