Bible Verses about 'Day'

  • Give us this day our daily bread.
  • But do not ignore this one fact, beloved: with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day.
  • Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outer self is continuing to decay, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
  • My mouth is filled with your praises
as I relate your glory all day long.
  • This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us exult and rejoice in it.
  • One person may consider one day to be more sacred than another, while another may judge all days to be alike. Let everyone be convinced in his own beliefs.

    my body wasted away
as the result of my groaning throughout the day.

    but righteousness delivers from death.

    “If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.”

the firmament shows forth the work of his hands.
One day imparts that message to the next,
and night conveys that knowledge to night.

whereas the righteous man gives unsparingly.

You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male slave, nor your female slave, nor your animals, nor the foreigner who dwells with you. The Lord made the heavens and the earth and the seas and that which is in them in six days, but he rested the seventh day. Thus, the Lord blessed the Sabbath and declared it to be sacred.
  • Therefore, the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials and to hold the wicked for punishment until the Day of Judgment.

During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,
a prayer to the living God.
