- This is what the Lord of armies has said: ‘Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion each to his brother; and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.’
- Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal.
- Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.

I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand. - My son, comply with the commandment of your father,
And do not ignore the teaching of your mother. - Let’s not become discouraged in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not become weary.
- With all my heart I have sought You;
Do not let me wander from Your commandments. - Whom do I have in heaven but You?
And with You, I desire nothing on earth. - He has told you, mortal one, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God? - Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins by calling on His name.
- Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Stop doing evil. - And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good?
- Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill.
- Now whenever you fast, do not make a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they distort their faces so that they will be noticed by people when they are fasting. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
- Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
- And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you.
- Riches do not benefit on the day of wrath,
But righteousness rescues from death.
