And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?So He said to them, “Are you thus without understanding also? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him, because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, thus purifying all foods?”
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
