- Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God. - But you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah,
who are one of the little clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to rule in Israel,
whose origin is from of old,
from ancient days. - The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours forth speech,
and night to night declares knowledge. - So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and succeed in the thing for which I sent it. - In fulfillment of his own purpose he gave us birth by the word of truth, so that we would become a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
- Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him, and he will act.
He will make your vindication shine like the light,
and the justice of your cause like the noonday. - But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. - Then the Lord God said, “See, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
- The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time on and forevermore. - The good person out of the good treasure of the heart produces good, and the evil person out of evil treasure produces evil; for it is out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks.
- I came from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.
- He sent out his word and healed them,
and delivered them from destruction. - She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.

- O come, let us worship and bow down,
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! - And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”
- Arise, shine; for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - As they came from their mother's womb, so they shall go again, naked as they came; they shall take nothing for their toil, which they may carry away with their hands.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - Bear fruit worthy of repentance.
- The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
- But he answered, “It is written,
‘One does not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” - Go, eat your bread with enjoyment, and drink your wine with a merry heart; for God has long ago approved what you do.
- Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, am first,
and will be with the last.
Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.Who is this King of glory?
