- And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
- O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good;
for his mercy endureth for ever. - Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
- How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings,
that publisheth peace;
that bringeth good tidings of good,
that publisheth salvation;
that saith unto Zion,
Thy God reigneth! - Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
- But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference.
- Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment,
and equity; yea, every good path. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones. - That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.
- Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity! - The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the Lord. - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
- The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. - For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
- And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
- Withhold not good from them to whom it is due,
when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
- Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Seek good, and not evil,
that ye may live:
and so the Lord, the God of hosts, shall be with you,
as ye have spoken.
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold.For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
