- The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
- After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before.
- When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

- After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
- John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
- He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
- Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
- On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud;
then they forgot me.Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.Next verse!With image
