- For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.
- You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
- The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me,
for the Lord has anointed me

He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted
and to proclaim that captives will be released
and prisoners will be freed. - Well then, since God’s grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not!
- But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
- I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me? - Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
- But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
- Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
- The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
- Anyone who denies the Son doesn’t have the Father, either. But anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
- Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.” - No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
- So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
- “The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”
- For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
- For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,
‘The stone that you builders rejected
has now become the cornerstone.’ - Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.
