Has (2/4)

  • Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
  • The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
  • People with understanding control their anger;
a hot temper shows great foolishness.
  • But be sure to fear the Lord and faithfully serve him. Think of all the wonderful things he has done for you.
  • You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
  • And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
  • The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ.
  • Who has done such mighty deeds,
summoning each new generation from the beginning of time?
It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last.
    I alone am he.
  • But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.
  • Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’
  • Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
    “I will never fail you.
    I will never abandon you.”
  • So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.
  • For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.
  • Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.
  • As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.
  • And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.
  • If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
  • But you may wonder, ‘How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the Lord?’ If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared.
  • So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.
  • “The time promised by God has come at last!” he announced. “The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!”
  • A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.
  • No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God.
  • Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
  • All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
  • Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.
