Bible Verses about 'Hate'

  • The fear of the Lord implies hatred of evil;
    I hate pride and arrogance,
    evil ways and perverse speech.
  • If the world hates you,
be aware that it hated me
    before it hated you.
  • Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he protects the souls of his faithful ones
and rescues them from the hand of the wicked.
  • Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.
  • But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
  • No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
  • Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,
but the one who hates correction is stupid.
  • Let your love be sincere. Loathe what is evil and hold fast to what is good.
  • You shall not hate your brother in your heart, nor shall you rebuke your brother in any way, lest you bear sin because of him. You shall not seek vengeance nor bear a grudge against the children of your people. You shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
  • If someone says, “I love God,”
but at the same time hates his brother,
    he is a liar.
For whoever does not love the brother
    whom he has seen
cannot love God whom he has not seen.
  • But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
  • Finally, brethren, let your minds be filled with whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, whatever is excellent, whatever is worthy of praise.
  • Our God is in heaven;
    he does whatever he pleases.
  • Whatever you ask for in faith-filled prayer, you will receive.
  • I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
  • Whatever you ask in my name I will do,
so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
  • Beloved,
if our hearts do not condemn us,
we can approach God with confidence
and receive from him whatever we ask,
    because we obey his commandments
and do whatever is pleasing to him.
  • Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.
  • So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
  • I do not say this because I have been in need, for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.
  • If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you.
  • You are from your father, the devil,
and you choose to carry out your father’s desires.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and he does not abide by the truth,
for there is no truth in him.
    When he lies,
he speaks in accord with his own nature,
    for he is a liar
    and the father of lies.
  • And if we know that he hears us
in regard to whatever we ask him,
    we may be sure
that all we ask of him will be ours.
  • And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  • And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.

Therefore, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops.
