- And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
- Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
- I treasure your word in my heart,
so that I may not sin against you. - In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
- God said, “See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.”
- Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
- This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him there is no darkness at all.
- I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.
- But I with the voice of thanksgiving
will sacrifice to you;
what I have vowed I will pay.
Deliverance belongs to the Lord! - Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”
- If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”
- For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, says the Lord God. Turn, then, and live.
- O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from far away. - For we have become partners of Christ, if only we hold our first confidence firm to the end.
- Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- O how abundant is your goodness
that you have laid up for those who fear you,
and accomplished for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of everyone! - For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
- He will again have compassion upon us;
he will tread our iniquities under foot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea. - For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
- Deep calls to deep
at the thunder of your cataracts;
all your waves and your billows
have gone over me. - For God is not unjust; he will not overlook your work and the love that you showed for his sake in serving the saints, as you still do.
- Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - Come to a sober and right mind, and sin no more; for some people have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
Because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
