- And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
- And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
- Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
- The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. - He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
- Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
- The ransom of a man's life are his riches:
but the poor heareth not rebuke. - Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
- I love the Lord, because he hath heard
my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,
therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. - So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
- I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
- And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
- So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
- But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
- Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings;
and the years of thy life shall be many. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.
- Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
- And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
give ear to my supplications:
in thy faithfulness answer me,
and in thy righteousness. - My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord;
in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Next verse!With image
