You shall diligently keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and his testimonies and his statutes, which he has commanded you.You must diligently obey the commands of the Lord your God—all the laws and decrees he has given you.
Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways, for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord, but the upright are in his confidence.Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly.
As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife.
He will render to each one according to his works.He will judge everyone according to what they have done.
Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments!Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands.
And over his head they put the charge against him, which read, “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”A sign was fastened above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.”
And in Hades, being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side. Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.Fools vent their anger, but the wise quietly hold it back.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
A fool's lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating.Fools’ words get them into constant quarrels; they are asking for a beating.
Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death?
And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.When Job prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!

But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us.
That according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love.I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped.
