Chinese (traditional)- And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
- Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom. - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
- Hear my prayer, Lord,
listen to my cry for help;
do not be deaf to my weeping.
I dwell with you as a foreigner,
a stranger, as all my ancestors were. - Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
- When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
- “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)
- It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel. - And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
- But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.
- One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. - When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, no one can discover anything about their future.
- I desire to do your will, my God;
your law is within my heart. - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
- He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
- Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple “Yes” or “No.” Otherwise you will be condemned.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
- And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.
- And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
- And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
- Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
- Hatred stirs up conflict,
but love covers over all wrongs.
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.Next verse! With image
