- The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”
- Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him. - Here is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him. - Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
- It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
- Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him.
- Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” - But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit. - If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.
- So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him.
- “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”
and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;
and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.”
So shall it be! Amen. - I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue. - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
- But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love. - While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
- Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
- This poor man called, and the Lord heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles. - Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
- God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
- Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near. - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
- He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.Next verse!With image
