- He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
- Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him—his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling. - For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
- But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
- I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.
- Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
- If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
- But be very careful to keep the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord gave you: to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to keep his commands, to hold fast to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
- Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
- The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
- May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him. - Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes. - Blessed are all who fear the Lord,
who walk in obedience to him. - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
- Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God. - Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. - Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart. - In my distress I called to the Lord;
I cried to my God for help.
From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears. - A gift opens the way
and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. - No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.
- What is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
