- So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.

is one who lacks self-control. - I am hard pressed between the two: my desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better; but to remain in the flesh is more necessary for you.

- I delight to do your will, O my God;
your law is within my heart. - The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.
- Of course, there is great gain in godliness combined with contentment.
- God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble. - So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!
- Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
- Before destruction one's heart is haughty,
but humility goes before honor. - What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
- Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
but the mouth of the wicked what is perverse. - Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ.
- Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
- This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
