Knoweth (2/4)

  • O Lord, you have searched me and known me.
    You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
    you discern my thoughts from far away.
  • His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
  • The heavens are telling the glory of God;
    and the firmament proclaims his handiwork.
    Day to day pours forth speech,
    and night to night declares knowledge.
  • O give thanks to the Lord, call on his name,
    make known his deeds among the peoples.
  • So I will display my greatness and my holiness and make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.
  • And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.
  • Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
    let this be known in all the earth.
  • And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
  • Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known.
  • Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
  • Give heed to my reproof;
    I will pour out my thoughts to you;
    I will make my words known to you.
  • What then should we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet, if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
  • I want their hearts to be encouraged and united in love, so that they may have all the riches of assured understanding and have the knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ himself.
  • Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
  • Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
  • No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
  • And not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.
  • Search me, O God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my thoughts.
    See if there is any wicked way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.
  • Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.
  • Because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
  • Even before a word is on my tongue,
    O Lord, you know it completely.
  • Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator.
  • If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment.
  • Keep awake therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
  • So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.
    God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.

And you will say in that day:
Give thanks to the Lord,
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted.
