- I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? - Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
- Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.
- Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people.
- Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation. - And a great road will go through that once deserted land.
It will be named the Highway of Holiness.
Evil-minded people will never travel on it.
It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways;
fools will never walk there. - You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
- There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

Pay attention to my prayer. - This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it. - Give honor to marriage, and remain faithful to one another in marriage. God will surely judge people who are immoral and those who commit adultery.
- On the last day, the climax of the festival, Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me!”
- And don’t let us yield to temptation,
but rescue us from the evil one. - Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.
- We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us.
- A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.
- So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
- But Jesus told them, “I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.”
- Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father.

O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Let all that I am praise the Lord;
with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. - Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.
- Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one.
- As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.” When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing is for the Lord to commend them.
