Let (4/4)

  • Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
  • But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
  • Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
    For in You do I trust;
    Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
    For I lift up my soul to You.
  • So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
  • “Come now, and let us reason together,”
    Says the Lord,
    “Though your sins are like scarlet,
    They shall be as white as snow;
    Though they are red like crimson,
    They shall be as wool.”
  • Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
  • My son, do not forget my law,
    But let your heart keep my commands;
    For length of days and long life
    And peace they will add to you.
  • Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
  • Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart,
    All you who hope in the Lord.
  • Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
  • Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
  • Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
    Cause Your face to shine,
    And we shall be saved!
  • But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
  • Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
  • Wait on the Lord;
    Be of good courage,
    And He shall strengthen your heart;
    Wait, I say, on the Lord!
  • If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
  • And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
  • When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
  • Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
    And with Your glory all the day.
  • Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
  • But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.
  • Teach me to do Your will,
    For You are my God;
    Your Spirit is good.
    Lead me in the land of uprightness.
  • Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
  • Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave.
  • So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

But he who receives correction is prudent.
