- Arise, O Lord!
O God, lift up Your hand!
Do not forget the humble. - I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. - Let your eyes look straight ahead,
And your eyelids look right before you. - Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
Thus I will bless You while I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. - For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.
But woe to him who is alone when he falls,
For he has no one to help him up. - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
- Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
For I lift up my soul to You. - I have made a covenant with my eyes;
Why then should I look upon a young woman? - The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry. - Will you set your eyes on that which is not?
For riches certainly make themselves wings;
They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. - Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones. - Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes.
Cease to do evil. - My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the Lord weighs the hearts. - The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;
The Lord raises those who are bowed down;
The Lord loves the righteous. - And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’
- The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.
- Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

So my feet did not slip. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
- Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me for Your mercies’ sake. - Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
- ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
- So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
- Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.
- And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.
- Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
- Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths. - To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.
- Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy. - Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
- Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds. - Keep your tongue from evil,
And your lips from speaking deceit. - Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.”’
- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as the Lord your God commanded you. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates, that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- I delight to do Your will, O my God,
And Your law is within my heart.
