- I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills,
from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord,
which made heaven and earth. - Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand:
forget not the humble. - And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

cease to do evil. - And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:
the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down:
the Lord loveth the righteous. - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Be not wise in thine own eyes:
fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel,

- And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
- Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins. - Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.

thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy. - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

saith the Lord. - And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
- Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
- He healeth the broken in heart,
and bindeth up their wounds. - And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
- Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
- But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
- If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
- Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
- And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
- And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil.
