In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart. As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

A person’s riches may ransom their life, but the poor cannot respond to threatening rebukes. The ransom of a man's life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.
The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; they imagine it a wall too high to scale. The rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
Words from the mouth of the wise are gracious, but fools are consumed by their own lips. The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself.
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
What a person desires is unfailing love; better to be poor than a liar. The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.
See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
