Bible Verses about 'Money'
- One who is covetous will never be satisfied with money,
nor will the lover of wealth be content with gain.
This too is vanity. - Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”
- The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds.
- Wealth hastily acquired will dwindle away,
but when amassed little by little, it will increase. - No one can serve two masters. For you will either hate the one and love the other or be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

- Pay to each person what is rightfully his—taxes to the one to whom taxes are due, tolls to the one to whom tolls are due, respect to the one to whom respect is due, honor to the one to whom honor is due.
- It is better to acquire wisdom rather than gold,
and more desirable to acquire understanding rather than silver. - But who am I, and what are your people,
that we should be able to do this?
All things belong to you,

but the Lord protects the righteous. - An honorable name is more to be desired than great riches,
and high esteem is preferable to silver and gold. - When you fix your gaze upon it,
it is gone before you realize it.
For it suddenly sprouts wings
and flies up to the sky like an eagle. - Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
- That is why you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, and they devote themselves to this service.
- Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.

and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender. - The wicked man borrows but neglects to repay,
whereas the righteous man is generous in giving. - The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but worldly cares and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.
- The brother who is in modest circumstances should take pride in being raised up. Likewise, the one who is rich should glory in being brought low, for he will disappear like a flower of the field.
- A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life;
a poor man never has to worry about such threats. - Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves.
