- The lover of money will not be satisfied with money; nor the lover of wealth, with gain. This also is vanity.

- How much better to get wisdom than gold!
To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. - But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to make this freewill offering? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.

and favor is better than silver or gold. - When your eyes light upon it, it is gone;
for suddenly it takes wings to itself,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”

but the righteous are generous and keep giving. - As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the lure of wealth choke the word, and it yields nothing.
- Let the believer who is lowly boast in being raised up, and the rich in being brought low, because the rich will disappear like a flower in the field.
- Wealth is a ransom for a person's life,
but the poor get no threats. - You shall not make gods of silver alongside me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold.
