- It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there. - The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
- My mouth is filled with your praise,
and with your glory all day long. - Can a woman forget her nursing child,
or show no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even these may forget,
yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before me. - For I will be merciful toward their iniquities,
and I will remember their sins no more. - You have given me the shield of your salvation,
and your right hand has supported me;
your help has made me great.
You gave me a wide place for my steps under me,
and my feet did not slip. - It does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever.
- He has made everything suitable for its time; moreover he has put a sense of past and future into their minds, yet they cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- I did not shrink from doing anything helpful, proclaiming the message to you and teaching you publicly and from house to house.
- But he knows the way that I take;
when he has tested me, I shall come out like gold.
My foot has held fast to his steps;
I have kept his way and have not turned aside. - Surely the Lord God does nothing,
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets. - A highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way;
the unclean shall not travel on it,
but it shall be for God's people;
no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray. - So we do not lose heart. Even though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
- Therefore you are great, O Lord God; for there is no one like you, and there is no God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
- Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
give me neither poverty nor riches;
feed me with the food that I need. - To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, male prostitutes, sodomites, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, revilers, robbers—none of these will inherit the kingdom of God.
- Therefore I tell you, people will be forgiven for every sin and blasphemy, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
- Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
- For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
- For the Lord loves justice;
he will not forsake his faithful ones.
The righteous shall be kept safe forever,
but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.
