- But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
- Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
- Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
- I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
- I made haste, and delayed not
to keep thy commandments. - And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
- Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
- All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- A faithful witness will not lie:
but a false witness will utter lies. - When thou passest through the waters,
I will be with thee;
and through the rivers,
they shall not overflow thee:
when thou walkest through the fire,
thou shalt not be burned;
neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. - He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
- For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
- Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
- Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
- What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
- For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
- And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- But they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint. - Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the Lord;
and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you:
for I am merciful, saith the Lord,
and I will not keep anger for ever. - Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up thine hand:
forget not the humble. - Thy word have I hid in mine heart,
that I might not sin against thee. - Can one go upon hot coals,
and his feet not be burned?
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me?Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
