- Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
- Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
- Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth:
therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty. - While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
- I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
- Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
- And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
- And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
- Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
- If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
- For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
- We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
- And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
- Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
- Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
- Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
- Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
- Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- Though an host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident. - He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For I the Lord thy God
