| Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord God. | Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God. |
| In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. | On the last day of the festival, the great day, while Jesus was standing there, he cried out, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me.” |

| Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. | The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone. |

| For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. | For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. |
| If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. | So if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. |
| While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. | Because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. |
| And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. | And this is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. |
| And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. | May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ. |
| Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? | Can anyone withhold the water for baptizing these people who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have? |
| And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. | If you will only obey the Lord your God, by diligently observing all his commandments that I am commanding you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. |
| And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. | And this is the boldness we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. |
| A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. | I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. |
| Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. | You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger. |
