or take the path that sinners tread,

- He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the water of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- The God of peace will shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
- He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. - And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.
- Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- But I will sing of your might;
I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning.
For you have been a fortress for me
and a refuge in the day of my distress. - So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
- To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
- Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
