  • For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
  • A talebearer revealeth secrets:
    but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
  • The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
    thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
    forsake not the works of thine own hands.
  • The rich man's wealth is his strong city,
    and as an high wall in his own conceit.
  • Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.
  • Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
  • Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
  • Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
  • The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
  • As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
