  • Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high,
    and the wilderness be a fruitful field,

  • Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:

    because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
  • Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

  • There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

  • Though an host should encamp against me,
    my heart shall not fear:

    in this will I be confident.

    and let all thy ways be established.
  • Shew me thy ways, O Lord;
    teach me thy paths.
