- May mercy, peace, and love be yours in abundance.
- O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
in the morning I plead my case to you, and watch. - I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need.
- And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever.
- Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
- He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.”
- Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire other than you. - If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- Many shall be purified, cleansed, and refined, but the wicked shall continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand.
- Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.
- Because you are precious in my sight,
and honored, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
nations in exchange for your life. - And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“See, the home of God is among mortals.
He will dwell with them as their God;
they will be his peoples,
and God himself will be with them;
he will wipe every tear from their eyes.
Death will be no more;
mourning and crying and pain will be no more,
for the first things have passed away.” - Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing,
“To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might
forever and ever!” - May God continue to bless us;
let all the ends of the earth revere him. - Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.
- I am the gate. Whoever enters by me will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture.
- Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise,
but the companion of fools suffers harm. - The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain, and wait there; and I will give you the tablets of stone, with the law and the commandment, which I have written for their instruction.”
- Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
- Jesus answered them, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.”
- Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.
- And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment.
- Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Be still, and know that I am God!
I am exalted among the nations,
I am exalted in the earth.
