- For You, O God, have tested us;
You have refined us as silver is refined. - I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was extolled with my tongue. - God shall bless us,
And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. - Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
By His name Yah,
And rejoice before Him.
A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation. - God sets the solitary in families;
He brings out those who are bound into prosperity;
But the rebellious dwell in a dry land. - Blessed be the Lord,
Who daily loads us with benefits,
The God of our salvation! Selah - Let my mouth be filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all the day. - My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You,
And my soul, which You have redeemed. - Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. - My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the glory of Your name;
And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,
For Your name’s sake! - Restore us, O Lord God of hosts;
Cause Your face to shine,
And we shall be saved! - Defend the poor and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and needy. - For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - Before the mountains were brought forth,
Or ever You had formed the earth and the world,
Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God. - For a thousand years in Your sight
Are like yesterday when it is past,
And like a watch in the night. - So teach us to number our days,
That we may gain a heart of wisdom. - And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us,
And establish the work of our hands for us;
Yes, establish the work of our hands. - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” - He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler. - If I say, “My foot slips,”
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. - In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul. - Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. - You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Bless the Lord, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. - As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. - As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him. - But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting
On those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant,
And to those who remember His commandments to do them. - I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore! - For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - He sent His word and healed them,
And delivered them from their destructions. - I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples,
And I will sing praises to You among the nations. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
And Your glory above all the earth. - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
A good understanding have all those who do His commandments.
His praise endures forever. - Praise the Lord!
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord,
Who delights greatly in His commandments. - A good man deals graciously and lends;
He will guide his affairs with discretion. - Surely he will never be shaken;
The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. - Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth. - But our God is in heaven;
He does whatever He pleases. - I love the Lord, because He has heard
My voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. - I called on the Lord in distress;
The Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. - The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - It is better to trust in the Lord
Than to put confidence in man. - This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. - Save now, I pray, O Lord;
O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
